Canadian Experience Class

All Economic Class programs aim to attract immigrants to Canada who can establish themselves economically in the country.

The Canadian Experience Class is a component of the Economic Class and is managed through the Express Entry program. The current estimated processing time is approximately 6 months from the receipt of an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

To be eligible to apply, you must meet the program requirements for the Canadian Experience Class:

Canadian Experience Class requirements:

  • Have acquired at least one year of full-time skilled, professional, or technical work experience in Canada within 36 months prior to the application date. Self-employment or work experience gained while being a full-time student does not count.
  • The work experience should be in a managerial job (NOC skill level 0), professional job (NOC skill type A), technical jobs, or skilled trades (NOC skill type B).
  • Meet the minimum language score of CLB 5 or CLB 7 on the Canadian Language Benchmark, depending on the skill level of the job.
  • Intend to live and work outside the province of Quebec. Individuals with work experience in Quebec who plan to reside in Quebec may apply to the Quebec Experience Class.

Final Criteria before getting Permanent Residence:

Once selected from the Express Entry Pool and issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA), candidates and their dependents must undergo medical examinations and obtain security clearances as part of the Canadian immigration application process.

A Suitable Option for International Students:

The Canadian Experience Class provides international students with Canadian work experience the fastest and simplest path to obtaining permanent residence.

Upon completion of a program or course of study at a Canadian educational institution, international graduates can stay in the country and work on post-graduate work permits. After accumulating at least one year of Canadian work experience in a skilled, professional, or technical field, they may become eligible to apply under the Canadian Experience Class.
